OhioX hosts 3rd Annual Ohio GovTech Summit

The 3rd annual OhioGov Tech Summit presented by AT&T was held on Tuesday, April 18th at the Ohio Statehouse, bringing together leaders from government and technology to discuss the latest advancements and opportunities in the tech industry.

The Summit's agenda included roundtable discussions with elected officials, sessions with government technology leaders, tech demos by companies, and concluded with an evening reception with over 200 attendees in the Statehouse Atrium keynoted by Lt. Governor Jon Husted.

OhioX member companies met with elected officials from across the state, including Lt. Governor Jon Husted, Senate President Matt Huffman, Secretary of State Frank LaRose, Director of Development Lydia Mihalik, State Representative Thomas Hall (Chair, Technology and Innovation Committee), and State Representative Adam Holmes (Chair, Aviation and Aerospace Committee). A number of government IT leaders also joined for roundtable style conversations on public sector tech topics and latest innovations happening in government.

Throughout the day, major topics of conversation during these meetings included tech talent workforce development, Intel's expansion into Ohio, IT priorities for state and local governments, cybersecurity, and much more.

OhioX’s longest running major event, the GovTech Summit provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to connect with other leaders in the tech industry, share ideas, and explore solutions to some of the biggest opportunities for Ohio today.
