OhioX and Ohio Innovation Exchange Announce Series Partnership

COLUMBUS - OhioX and the Ohio Innovation Exchange (OIEx) announced a partnership for a series of online programs and content pieces to highlight, promote, and educate Ohio businesses about the benefits and power of the OIEx portal.

The Exchange, created by the Ohio Department of Higher Education in 2018 with Ohio University and The Ohio State University as founding members, is launching the webinars with OhioX, a nonprofit organization that promotes technology and innovation in Ohio.

The first event will feature Dr. Joesph Shields, a professor of physics and astronomy at Ohio University, Charles See, vice chancellor at the Ohio Department of Higher Education, and Ohio State University professor Vicki Wysocki, Ohio Eminent Scholar, professor of chemistry and biochemistry and director of the Campus Chemical Instrumentation Center at OSU. The kickoff event, titled “The Potential, Power and Payoff of University-Industry Collaborations across Ohio,” will launch March 26. Click here to register.

“I am pleased to be a part of this webinar launch with the Ohio Innovation Exchange and OhioX,” Shields said. “Expanding engagement with other academic and private-sector partners is a key part of our agenda to grow research and innovation for the benefit of Ohio and beyond.”

"Ohio’s universities power innovation in our state," added Chris Berry, President of OhioX. "We're thrilled to help share the story of the Ohio Innovation Exchange and how the Exchange can help grow our businesses through technology and innovation."

The Ohio Innovation Exchange was founded to deliver research and innovation opportunities to both industry and Ohio’s academic institutions. The Exchange connects industry with faculty, students, equipment and facilities available at Ohio’s research universities. It makes academic resources available from multiple universities available in a single searchable web portal at www.ohioinnovationexchange.org.
