CLEVELAND - OhioX, a statewide tech nonprofit working to build Ohio into a tech hub, and John Carroll University have announced the first ever Ohio Tech Summit will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2022 on the campus of JCU.
The Ohio Tech Summit (“The Summit”) is a full day of content and experiences where Ohio tech shows-off and features high-profile speakers, tech demos, and networking opportunities. Announced speakers include leading tech-focused CEOs and executives, entrepreneurs, education and civic leaders, and Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb.
The Summit begins with registration and a coffee networking reception. Throughout the day there will be keynotes, fireside chats, conversations, and “Innovation Sprints” where leading tech and innovation pros share their work and predictions for the future. To conclude The Summit, there is a happy hour Tech Expo where companies can showcase their products (physical and digital) and Summit attendees can experience and view leading innovations.
“The Ohio Tech Summit is coming at a perfect time. There's so much excitement and momentum for tech in Ohio," said Chris Berry, President/CEO of OhioX. "Ohio-based startups are raising more venture capital than ever and major projects like Intel's decision to come to Ohio are putting Ohio on the map in ways like never before."
“Ohio is on the cutting edge in so many ways," said Scott Allen, Ph.D., Standard Products—Dr. James S. Reid Chair in Management at the John Carroll University Boler College of Business. "We hope participants arrive with a sense of curiosity and leave with a great deal of pride."
The Summit will be held on John Carroll University’s campus at the Dolan Center for Science & Technology. Doors open at 8:00 am for registration and a coffee networking reception. The Summit kicks off at 9:15 am with opening speakers. Tickets include the coffee networking reception, a full day of content, networking opportunities, lunch, and a happy hour to conclude the Summit during the Tech Expo.
