Bringing Meta to Ohio (#074)
In this episode we have not one but two leaders joining us to share a special story. Our guests are Brad Davis, Meta's Director of Data Center Economic Development, and Jennifer Chrysler, the City of New Albany's Director of Community Development.
The "Silicon Heartland" has been in the news all year but there was one spark that really started Ohio's tech momentum. That's Meta coming to Ohio.
In 2017, Meta, then known as Facebook, broke group on their New Albany Data Center and it came online in 2020.
The Data Center site is over $1 billion in investments by Meta, it's supported by 100% renewable energy, and it has created hundreds of jobs... which includes Meta's tech employees to construction workers.
We're excited for this episode and to be joined by two of the projects team leaders: Brad from Meta and Jennifer from the City of New Albany.
