Organization Name: BeyondTrust

Location: Atlanta, GA; Jackson, MS; Aliso Viejo, CA; Somerville, MA; Phoenix, AZ

Industry: Software, Cybersecurity, Identity Security, Privileged Access Management, Endpoint Security

What We Do:

Our job is to help organizations and agencies build the most robust security posture and move towards Zero Trust security goals by shrinking the attack surface and securing privileged credentials and assets. Privileged users (coders, admin, c-level, etc) have such an impact in an environment because they have access to the most sensitive and top secret information. Organizations need to take additional care when giving people access to a privileged operation.

The BeyondTrust Universal Privilege Management approach secures and protects privileges across passwords, endpoints, identities, and access, giving organizations the visibility and control they need to reduce risk, achieve compliance, and boost operational performance. Our products enable least privilege, creating a frictionless experience for users that enhances productivity.

What’s a Trend You’re Seeing/Prediction for the Future:

We are seeing a lot of organizations and agencies move to the cloud. We’re also seeing that remote work isn’t going away so it’s critical to have a strong security defense for remote access, whether it be internal employees, third party vendors, contractors, machines, etc.

A Problem/Challenge We Are Working To Solve:

The threat landscape is exponentially expanding every day as the perimeter dissolves in our new virtual world with remote and hybrid workforce environments. We’re looking to help orgs and agencies protect their assets from cyber adversaries, mitigate ransomware or malware attacks, and understand strategies for Secure Remote Access, Secure Remote Collaboration and Privileged Access Management security.

Organization Slogan:

Enforce Least Privilege to Secure Every Privilege, Every Time

Why is Ohio is a great place to do business?

Ohio is a great place to do business because there is a major technology modernization movement on both the private and public sector side. Associations like OhioX facilitate a great forum to get a “boots on the ground” perspective, learn from others, understand the State Tech challenges, and work towards ways to solve those challenges.
